Concentration and dilution
01/06
Today in science we learning about Concentration and dilution.
Concentration: A measure of how much solute(something) has been dissolved into the liquid solvent.
(In other words how much solute there is in the solution)
We can measure in two ways:
-How to dilute something is. (how weak it is).
-How concentrated something.(How strong it is).
dilution: Is when we make something less concentrated(weaker).
There will be less particles in the liquid.
Solute: Potassium Permanganate
Solvent: Water
Observation and discussion: After putting the Potassium Permanganate crystal into the first test tube which had water in it, the liquid in the test tube became a dark purple colour. Each time we added 5 ml to the next test tube from the one before the liquid became more dilute (meaning the liquid became more weaker).
