Why is it difficult to live on a Cay?

I think that living on a cay would be a difficult thing because there won't be lots of resources, Compared to the current generation, the resources will be less advanced. Resources such as medicine, nutritious food, Clean drinking water, shelter to keep you decently warm or safe.  Living on a cay could be dangerous as we do not know what types of animals and harmful things exist there, because it an island there won't be a doctor to help you in need and you could get bitten by a living thing or touch a poisonous plant. Living on a cay is a task harder than it sounds, but I would still like to experience living on a cay. Living on a cay would be different from the life I live now.

P.O.V: living on the cay

Standing on the burning hot sand below me, It sure is a hot sunny day. looking in front, I see the vast, sparking, dark blue ocean, its waves, gently bumping into one another, forming movements in the ocean. I turn around to see the scenery behind me. I see the trees, mountain hills, By every mean all I see is green. The trees sway and suddenly I smell the heat of the day with a tint of salty ocean, although its a very, VERY hot day I seem to be enjoying the nice, hot feeling. I hear the rustling of the trees and the ocean waves, the light movements and then the caw, caw of the big birds. I look above me, the light blue sky, just makes me blush or maybe the sun right in the middle of the cloudless sky, it feels nice... really nice.

Langosta is a lobster without claws.

What langostas could help with if stuck on an island?

If stuck on an island, eating langosta is a way to stop hunger, drinking its water after it is cooked and its shell could be used as a small cup to drink easily from. 

P.E: Volleyball reflection

Volleyball

When I first started volleyball for P.E this year, I lacked a lot of reaction to get the ball and did less sets. 

I believe currently I am doing better than when I first started. 

Now, I react faster when I see the volleyball, I do more sets and also try to position myself, so I could get the volleyball over the net without it going outside. 

I think the hardest thing about doing volleyball, is positioning yourself properly, so when the ball comes your way you hit it straight at the target(other side). 

The thing I liked most about volleyball was playing with my friends.

 Calypso

Listening to the calypso reminds me of people doing a cultural dance in the beach or at night with the campfire. Or swimming under the sea and this song playing in the background. It is a very interesting song.

Chemistry: Types of energy

Types of energy 

Intro: 

We are learning about types of energy  and energy transformation. 

1. Heat energy:

- Energy produced by quick movement of particles. 

2. Kinetic energy:

-  Allows anything to move.

3. Sound energy:

- Anything you hear(sound). (vibrating particles that cause sound).

4. Light energy:

- Light that is visible.

5. Electric energy:

- In things that use electricity 

6. Elastic energy:

- In things that are stretched 

7. Chemical potential energy:

- Found in food(chemicals).

8. Gravitational energy:

- Things that are high above ground.

Energy Transformation: 

Energy does not be created or destroyed, it just moves from one type to another = transformation.

Example: Marshmallow cannons: 

1. Cut the base off a cup(polystyrene).

2. Cut  a balloon 1/2 way down the neck(of the balloon).

3. Stretch balloon.

4. Carefully put balloon over base of cup.

Pontoon bridge

Pontoon bridges were used to move across rivers, as swimming across rivers would take a long time and would also tire the soldiers. They were also a good alternative to regular bridges because they use less resources, can be made faster and can also be reused. 

1. Why were these bridges created?

Pontoon bridges were used to move across water, because it took a long time to built a regular bridge and/or swim across.

2. How are they built?

They were built by connecting with planks and ropes.

3. How are they reusable?

Because they can be taken down and used in another river/area.

U-boat German submarine

3 Facts: 

1. U-boats were the only weapons that were of advantage to Germany as the British blocked Germany's ports to supplies. 

2. Wilhelm Bauer was the person that design the ship in 1850.

3. In WW2 about 632 u-boats sunk.
